The time has come to wrap up my learning project! At times it has been a fun relaxing experience and other times it proved to be quite challenging. However, I am happy with the results of the overall experience. When I started this journey I did have some woodworking knowledge but I wanted to build [โฆ]

As the semester ends, I would like to reflect on my course contribution this year!Firstly, in my other courses (specifically ECS 102), I often brought up topics that were discussed in this class. I found myself thinking a lot about online presence and literacy and talked about it a lot! Although this class was in person, so screenshots were not an options โ I do remember specifically bringing up cyber vigilantism when talking about how teaching need to be professional all the time and real […]

Continue readingA New Form of Woodworking: Wood Carving
For this post, I wanted to try something a little different. I have been caught up in a rabbit hole on YouTube, watching wood carving videos. Some of my favorites are by a creator named BM Sculptures. His signature style is to combine the wood with a clear epoxy resin and carve an animal out [โฆ]

To see my personal contributions, please click the oh so fancy link below: THE RECIEPTSย 1.) Keeping the Conversation Aliveย One of the highlights of this semester has been engaging with all the amazing content youโve been putting out on your blogs. I made it a habit to drop by regularly (3-5 times per week), leaving comments that ranged from thoughtful reflections to simple words of encouragement. Whether we were discussing complex ideas or just sharing a laugh, I aimed to keep the dialogue flowing and the vibes positive. You can see my fingerprints all over those comment sections.ย 2.) Getting Chatty on Discordย Ah, Discord โ our digital hangout where the learning never stops. Iโve loved being part of the discussions, whether it was answering questions, sharing resources, or just shooting the breeze with you all. From late-night study sessions to impromptu debates, Iโve tried to be an active and supportive presence in our virtual community. Youโll find me in the chat threads, chiming in whenever I can add value to the conversation.ย 3.) Staying Engaged on My Own Blog:ย Of course, I didnโt forget about my own little corner of the internet. Whenever someone took the time to drop a comment on one of my posts, Iย tried my hardest to respond. I valued your insights and questions, and I wanted to keep the conversation going. Because letโs face it โ learning is way more fun when itโs a two-way street.ย As I look back on the semester, Iโm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside each of you. Our collective efforts have turned this virtual classroom into a vibrant community of learners, and I couldnโt be prouder to be a part of it.ย I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. ย Emmaย โฐโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโยปยปโโโยซยซโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโฏ

โAs the year comes to an end, it is time to wrap up my learning project. Learning how to crochet has been a very very fun assignment, and I am glad I got this experience to try learning more about one of my own passions and hobbies โ and excuse it as homework LOL. I also feel like I have more confidence to show everyone what I have made and tell them about my hobby, instead of hiding it all in my room where no one will ever see it! This journey has definitely taught me a lot about c […]

A long-awaited update on my watercolour journey! Since Valentineโs Day, Iโve been working on a few different things. One of these was painting florals for spring and Easter. Iโve also tried to step up photographing my work by propping it up against an easel, rather than hovering above the paper like a spy plane and [โฆ]
